Lots of good ideas here. My favorite holiday gift for my nieces and nephews is to pair a picture book about the holidays with a new set of cozy pajamas. Last year I gave them The Sweet Smell of Christmas (Scented Storybook) and some polka dotted footed pjs. Haven't found "the" book this year yet.
