About the authors: Matthew Murrie is the coauthor of Every Minute on Earth, Planet Earth Guide to the Planet, Planet Earth Up Close, and The First Book of Seconds. He has an MA in the Teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University and is an English Professor at Westminster College in Fulton, MO.

Steve Murrie is the coauthor of Every Minute on Earth, Planet Earth Guide to the Planet, Planet Earth Up Close, and The First Book of Seconds. He holds an MA from Penn State University in Science Education and is a retired science teacher residing in Union, MO.

    Wow! I have boys 6 and 8 – and we love the earth! What a way to get the big wide earth manageable (or unmanageable once we learn everything that goes on from this book). Yup, our family would really enjoy this book. Here’s to hoping!
