About the Authors

Anne Dinshah invited 26 children to learn and create techniques for Apples, Bean Dip, and Carrot Cake. She enjoyed developing kid-friendly language with them, photographing their efforts, and sharing the tasting tasks.

Anne has a bachelor of arts from the University of Notre Dame and a master of education from the University of Texas at Austin. She credits her mother Freya for instilling in her a love of cooking and her father Jay for a love of eating delicious homemade food. Her son Clint makes cameo appearances in this book and loves to scrub potatoes.

Freya Dinshah provided the concept for the book, supplied the majority of the recipes, and guided the project. For several years she has volunteered at a local after-school program where is currently serving as nutrition educator and teaches basic cooking skills to children ages 6 to 18.

She has been a key organizer for local and national events to encourage compassionate, healthful living. Freya has taught cooking classes to people of all ages for over 40 years.
