About the Book

Joan Holub and Caldecott Honoree Melissa Sweet team up in this hilarious and exuberant retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, in which a brave, little red pencil finds her way through the many perils of writing a story, faces a ravenous pencil sharpener (the Wolf 3000)… and saves the day.

About the Author

Joan Holub has hundreds of pencils. Some are red. Others are glittery, sporty, or full of holiday cheer. They are all super sharp and good at writing. They’ve help Joan write more than 130 books, including Zero the Hero and Shampoodle. Luckily, her pencils can stand on their heads because she does lots of erasing along the way.

  1. Donna Farrer says:

I just stopped by to get some great book ideas for my kids stockings at Christmas, I have a couple I found earlier by Barbara Ward, The Reindeer Keeper and The Snowman Maker, they look so cute, I can’t wait for the kids to read them to me! Her site is barbarabriggsward.com, I recommend those if anyone is shopping like I am. If anyone has more recommendations for me I appreciate it, I am really looking for Holiday themes! Thanks!

  2. Congratulations to A. Potter! You are the winner. We love this book and know that you will too!
