    The Sock Fairy

    by Bobbie Hinman

    Reading level:
    Ages 3-7

    Hardcover: 32 pages

Publisher: Best Fairy Books (June 15, 2008)

Written in verse, The Sock Fairy, is the second book in Bobbie Hinman’s mischievous fairy series. The magical story combined with the illustrations provides entertaining insight to sock mysteries, such as missing socks, mismatched socks, and holes.

… After all, who better to blame it on than a fairy? …

The rhythm of the book is easy and flowing for young listeners and beginner readers alike. Just like The Knot Fairy, it has been illustrated with good humor by Kristi Bridgeman, who provides us with a wonderful visual of just where our missing socks end up. The CD that partners The Sock Fairy has music, the story, and a fun Sock Fairy song – written to the tune of the eensy weensy spider. This is a suitable book for both boys and girls and for anyone who apprciates rhyme or just likes to have a giggle.
