“Dad, how tall does sagebrush grow?”

“Mom, why do rabbits hop?”

-from the book

Carl is always asking questions and reading to find the answers to his questions. His parents are concerned about what he will be when he grows up. On a rainy day, Carl visits the nearby museum.  Discovering beautiful wildlife art helps him set a goal for his career path. The reward Carl receives will delight the reader.

This engaging and uplifting story for young readers carries the solid message that reading is fun and empowering. The thought-provoking content motivates children to want to obtain better reading skills.

Noted wildlife and landscape artist, John Potter, has created charming illustrations that bring Carl to life.

Each time I present this book to my class it never fails to excite the class and promote valuable group discussions on the importance of reading and how it can be utilized to accomplish their goals and dreams”

                  Rose A. John, B.A.,M.Ed., teacher

I love these books.. and they advocate for literacy. Carl is a voracious reader with piles of books in his home that he uses to figure things out. What a great role model!”
