While alphabet books can be rather dull, the American Museum of Natural History’s ABC Animals is a colorful, delightful adventure into the world of exotic animals. With bright, exciting pictures of animals representing each letter of the alphabet, and fun facts about each, this alphabet book will be entertaining even to older board book readers. Unique animals, including the Nudibranch (a sea creature) and the Okapi (a zebra-like giraffe) are unusual and fascinating for kids and adults alike. The engaging facts for each animal promote conversation. You’ll find yourself looking up more information on each creature, encouraging your child’s curiosity about the animals of the world.

    Board Book: 7 pages

Also from the Museum of Natural History is Spot the Animals, A Life-the-Flap Book of COLORS. This little book is fun and interactive for small children, connecting interesting animals with their corresponding colors and habitats. Toddlers will enjoy ‘looking’ for each animal behind flaps representing leaves or rocks, and adults will appreciate the unique approach to learning about colors. The illustrations of the animals are realistic while still maintaining enough of a cute factor to keep kids intrigued.

Both books are recommended for toddlers, and make unique gifts.

These books look great, different from the normal ABC books with the usual umbrella, Queen etc. Great to see something different and educational as well as interesting they are sure to capture childrens interest. Children also love when there are flaps to lift and see whats behind, makes them even more exciting!
