    Publisher: Onki Books (2018)

    ISBN: None (Print on Demand)

What to Expect: Colors, Novelty, Gift Book

Uh Oh! Where Did All the Colors Go? is a unique novelty board book with pages that can be personalized with photographs of friends and family members.

“In a colorful land / A big problem arose, / Its people were gray / From their heads to their toes.” So begins a page-turning hunt to find “all” of the colors. With each turn of a page, a new color is discovered: red, blue, green, yellow, pink, purple, and brown. The character(s)—illustrated bodies personalized with a high quality photograph of a friend or family member—soar through the sky, travel over hot sands by camel, enjoy what looks like a glass of pink champagne by the seashore, skip in the rain underneath an umbrella, and more, until “… looking for colors / had been such a ball … / That they just couldn’t stop, / so they gathered them all.”

When ordering the book, the purchaser uploads an image or images to be used for the character(s), and Onki Books does a top-notch job editing the photo faces onto the illustrated bodies that star on the monochromatic illustrated backgrounds. The book itself is a sturdy board book, which makes it a good choice for toddlers on up. It will easily withstand being passed around through all of the featured friends and family members who will surely want to see themselves costarring in the story.

Whether the pages are filled with just one child, or many friends and family members, readers are sure to get a real kick out of this innovative reading experience. Uh Oh! Where Did All the Colors Go? makes for a fun gift—especially for friends and family that live far apart and are looking for ways to strengthen connections.
