    4. Book Reviews and Recommendations: Infant and Toddler Age Children, Ages 0-3

Reading to our kids has never been more important than now. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends through policy that pediatricians consult parents on the importance of reading aloud to children during the early years. A jump-start on reading is a jump-start on language comprehension.

    5. Thoughts On Back-To-School And All Of Us

Childhood is full of transitions and that is what gives it beauty. But change often brings uncertainty. The questions that often flood us are, perhaps, more pronounced at the start of the new school year: Will I fit in? Do I have a place? Will I make friends? Will I be okay? And yet these universal worries are not exclusive to back-to-school.

    6. How Picture Books Play A Role In A Child’s Development

We all want what’s best for our kids and like the Army commercial, we want them to be all they can be. But parents can often succumb to the pressures of society and other parents to compete. That’s why some parents buy everything imaginable to get their baby to read, they enroll their children in the most expensive preschools, and even skip picture books and encourage their children to move on to more text-heavy chapter books as a means to advance their skills for rigorous standardized testing.

    7. Book Reviews And Recommendations: Teen And Young Adult, Ages 12+

Is it true that teens would read more if they knew where to discover good young adult books? Surveys say it is true. The Children’s Book Review is a solution. We cover books for teens and we have plenty of excellent young adult book recommendations.

    8. Best New Picture Books | June 2018

    9. 20 Of The Best Kids Christmas Books

Creating family traditions is an important part of a child’s life, helping them to feel connected and important. One of the simplest family traditions is reading a Christmas book together.

    10. Inside The Studio With Lindsay Ward, Author-Illustrator Of It’s Show And Tell, Dexter!

Lindsay Ward is the author of the Dexter T. Rexter book Don’t Forget Dexter! Though she never got to bring an orange dinosaur to Show and Tell Day, she did once take all four albums of her sticker collection. She is also the author and illustrator of Brobarians, Henry Finds His Word, and When Blue Met Egg. Her book Please Bring Balloons was also made into a play. Most days you can find Lindsay with her family, writing and sketching at her home in Peninsula, Ohio.
