What to Expect: Careers, Inspiration, Positive Thinking.

Teachers know a lot—but they don’t always know everything. The protagonist in The First Rock Star on Mars knows exactly what to answer when his teacher asks him what he will be when he grows up: he wants to be the first singer to hold a rock concert on Mars. His teacher is skeptical and tells him it is impossible, but he reminds her that every great advance in human history began with a seemingly impossible idea. He WILL hold a concert on Mars, and he can’t wait to say “I told you so!” when he does.

Written to provide inspiration to the author’s son and all the children like him who dare to dream big, The First Rock Star on Mars is James DiNinno’s reply to the teacher who told him a long time ago that his dream of being a professional rock drummer was impossible. James proved her wrong with a successful career in the music industry, and now he empowers children and adults alike to achieve their dreams with books like The First Rock Star on Mars. Filled with vibrant, colorful illustrations and simple, powerful, repetitive language, this little story reminds readers that, far from being impossible, amazing achievements happen every day. It is a fun, hopeful story bursting with positive energy.
