    About the Author

Genny and Bug’s Big Adventures: Genny Faces the Green Knight is Darrel Gregory’s first children’s book. Through the characters Genny and Bug, Darrel hopes to inspire children to say an overwhelming “yes” to exploring the world around them and undertaking their own hero journey. You’re never too old or too young to take the first step, believes Darrel. At 58, he is embarking on a new journey down a new path. “I want children to have a profound sense of awe and wonder in the natural world, and to begin to develop a sense of purpose through play and imagination. I think stories can help achieve that.” Darrel hopes to write additional stories in the Genny & Bug’s Big Adventures series.

Hi Rosanne. I’ve read that book to a few classes where the kids have been experiencing trauma. It’s all about helping kids understand that they don’t have to listen to the negative messages from their noisy brains. Good luck in the contest!

These are great books that I wish that I had when I was teaching. Even with my grandsugars I hear all the time I am not so good at this or I just can’t do this so many negative comments and they can do this and here is a book that tells them they can. So they not only hear it from their parents but also from their grandparents and now a book that tells them they can. Plus tell them that there is no such word as can’t do. I have 10 grandsugars and I hear it from them just as much as i heard it from my own kids when they were young. Wonderful idea and books. Thank you for posting a giveaway and that everyone has an equal chance to share these books!

Oh, you’re so right, Peggy. I heard my older granddaughter say exactly that, so I thought we needed a story about it. A little less thinking, a little more feeling and imagining.
