One of our favorite pastimes is riding around our local neighborhood—usually by electric scooter—and stocking Little Free Libraries with books. Little Free Libraries can be found around the world and have to be one of the most significant grassroots movements for book sharing! It’s such a simple concept: Take a book. Leave a book.
It all started when Todd Bol built a book exchange box, resembling a schoolhouse, in 2009 as a tribute to his mother. Since then, the non-profit organization, Little Free Library, has dramatically increased access to books for so many readers all around the world and of different socioeconomic backgrounds. All the while, inspiring a love of reading while bringing communities together and sparking neighborhood creativity. Which brings us to share with you some of our most favorite Little Free Library designs.
