In December of 2008, A Bear Group Publishing Inc. released its inaugural book entitled Druffles the D.J. (hardcover, children’s fiction, ISBN #978-0-9754892-0-8), co-authored by William Hibert and Hugh O’Halloran and illustrated by Richard Bringoli.

Druffles
is an upbeat, inspiring canine character whose story will provide young
readers with lessons of discovery, self-worth and success in the face
of fear and doubt. Druffles teaches children that life
can hand out disappointments, both big and small; however he empowers
them to believe in their ability. When one door closes, another door opens! Druffles
shows by his example how a child can find his/her special ability with
a positive attitude, determination, and a little help from a friend.

Druffles the D.J. is the first in a series involving the publisher’s signature character, Druffles. The mission of  A
Bear Group is to educate and enlighten our children through books that
teach real-world lessons of life’s challenges and opportunities. Toward that end, please read some of the comments from parents who have purchased and read the book to/with their children:

“Druffles the D.J. is a wonderful new children’s book. Every
page has such vivid pictures that depict the story and make it easy for
pre-school age children to follow. The vocabulary is appropriate for
both beginning and established readers, which creates a desire to read.
The book will keep children interested since the storyline moves
quickly and is uplifting. Both my children, ages six and four, loved
it. They can’t wait for more books about Druffles!”

“Druffles the D.J. is a very charming children’s book which teaches children about seeing the best in others. Children
at a young age should receive constant reinforcement about what their
best skills are. This book brings home that point. I’m looking forward to more books about Druffles.”
