Now that summer has pretty much arrived I like to think that I will have more time for reading. Of course the reality is that I probably won’t have any more time than normal, but here are five books coming out in the next few months that I am determined to make time for.
This YA series by popular adult author Maberry is just about my favourite series ever. Zombie fans rejoice! It’s exciting, violent, sympathetic, violent, romantic and one of the best coming of age series ever. After 3 books, I still have no idea what is going to happen to Benny and his friends, but I am really looking forward to finding out. If this last title in the series is even half as good as the others, it will be well worth the wait.

This title continues the story of court assassin Celaena Sardothien. 18 years old and forced to kill for the crown, Celaena has her work cut out to keep herself alive and her true motives a secret. If you enjoy spunky heroines who are a little different from the norm, then this title is for you.

Ms. White is well known for her humorous Paranormalcy series. This title, about the mortal daughter of Egyptian Gods trying to make a break from her family, sounds as if it might be a little more serious. Prophetic dreams and averting family crisis are just two of the things Isadora has to contend with, while deciding whether to make the break permanent or not. I can’t wait to read this one.

Rachel and Logan are once again under threat as they move their followers away from their ruined home. When I reviewed Defiance, the first book in this series, I wrote ‘Great romance, great characters, great action, interesting story – I loved it.’ There’s really not much more to be said.

Yet another 2nd book in a series, this one is a really great choice for guys. Set in the not too distant future, where wars are fought by individuals plugged into computers – and some of these individuals are just kids. A frightening concept that Mr. Kincaid made alarmingly plausible. I’m intrigued to find out what is in store this time around for Tom Raines and his friends.
