What to expect: Snow, Adventure, Hot Cocoa

Bunny Slopes is the perfect story to introduce your little one to the snowy sport of skiing.

Preparing your child for what to expect during their first day on the slopes is important, and this tale is an excellent way to prepare your child for the exciting adventure they can expect. The main character in this book is an adorable bunny rabbit. The story begins with an invitation to go on a skiing adventure, but first, you have to help the rabbit make snow. This interactive book will have you tapping and shaking the book to make it snow, but be careful to not shake too hard! Later you will help the bunny start to slide by tilting and turning the book. I cannot imagine a better way to introduce skiing through literature. Despite a few stumbles, the adventurous bunny has a splendid time and ends the day with a smile. A day on the slopes is never complete without a cup of hot cocoa, and this is not forgotten in this delightful story.

Bunny Slope Illustration 2

Claudia Rueda has created a lovely literature experience that will have your children looking forward to strapping on their skis and heading downhill. The illustrations will have you falling in love with the adorable and energetic bunny. Don’t be surprised if you hear the words, “Carrots! What fun” as your children begin to slide on their skis for the first time. This book is highly recommended as a way to prepare your child for a successful first skiing experience.
