About the Author
Marie Newton was born near Liverpool, UK. She studied for a degree in English literature and history at John Moores University, Liverpool. She currently runs a small business creating handmade essential oil products and candles. Currently enrolled in a course on Jungian training at the Research Centre for Depth Psychology in Switzerland, she lives in Leicester, UK.

I so agree with you on your comment being a former teacher. I also have 10 grandchildren 5 here in Iowa and then 5 where I used to live in Ca and the little penpals that I have and the grandchildren love getting books, I have a 3yr old grandson that has to sleep with a book and he has been that way since they pulled him from his mom. You have to read him one of the several books he has first many times before he will go to bed it is so cute.
I am a former teacher and the only reason not still teaching i got a nerve disease several years ago. They moved my class and the other ones that were upstairs downstairs so I had to take a retirement . So needless to say I have 10 grandchildren and a few little penpals from classes and they just love when I send out books to them. They write me and tell me about the book I sent and then they try to guess what the next Christmas book will be. I love nurturing these kids as they are so hungry to learn and read.
