What to expect: Music, Forest Animals, Family, Individuality

Little Worm is strolling along – well, inching along – on a bright summer day when he starts to hum and sing. “Shimmy shimmy, no-sashay,” he sings, wiggling to his own new beat. But when the friendly forest owl asks what he’s singing, Little Worm doesn’t have a name for his song or any idea where he learned it. Wisely, the owl tells him, “You have an ear worm!”

So begins Little Worm’s adventure through the forest, picking up creatures along the way with his song. And as each friend joins, they bring their own song that they groove and dance to. There’s Owl, of course; Chipmunk, Bunny, and even Fox join in. Thankfully Fox is too busy singing his song to cast a hungry eye at his dancing crew, and everyone sings their delightful ballad until Little Worm is called home for nap time. And what does he hear as his Papa tucks him into bed? “Shimmy shimmy, no sashay!” So that’s where Little Worm got his groove!

A delightfully musical tale that will have young readers up and dancing to the music in no time, EAR WORM is a unique and playful forest tale. Focusing on the individuality of expression, family, and friendship, EAR WORM is a delightful story that would enchant any classroom of young children or would be an excellent bedtime story. Children will be enthralled by the adorable forest animals that are vibrant and sweet, with their doe-eyes and dynamic illustrations.

Fun to read and jump and dance with, EAR WORM is a rousing good time for all.
