I found this book to be extremely entertaining! Help Me, Mr. Mutt! is full of laughs for anyone who is a dog or cat lover.

“Responding to disgruntled dogs nationwide, Mr. Mutt, Canine Counselor, has solutions to the most sticky dilemmas. But Mr. Mutt has his own problem to solve: the cat (aka The Queen), who has her own idea of who’s in charge. Now Mr. Mutt is the one who needs help- quick!” …

The story is told through wonderful letters and hilarious newspaper clippings, voicing the fears and needs of dogs everywhere. Believing that cats rank higher than dogs in the pet chain, the Queen is always quick to respond to the disgruntled dogs in follow up to Mr. Mutt’s letters. Here are some of the people problems that the dogs face: Diets, not enough play, being dressed up by kids, and being chastised for barking. I have to agree with Becky, from Young Readers, Overdressed in Oklahoma is certainly one of the highlights. Janet and Susan Stevens have done a remarkable job of telling this story, you can almost imagine that a dog wrote it himself!
