Interactive Books: Lift the Flap & Touch and Feel

By Bianca Schulze, The Children’s Book Review
Published: April 22, 2010

There is no denying that very young children are tactile and kinesthetic learners. It’s important to provide them with an interactive reading experience that allows them to touch, feel, and move the book and its pages while you are reading the story or sounds involved. It’s often hard for a toddler to sit still during story time, however, being able to physically engage in the book makes it much easier for them to enjoy their reading experience.

The following list of books all have thick and sturdy, movable parts, combined with many great learning concepts:Zoo (Little Scholastic)
