Anyone has the power to change the world, and this is the book to show you how. While some children may be aware of the declining changes in our environment, they may not be aware of the simple things they can do to help.

Our climate is changing and human actions are the cause. Maybe you don’t know why, or what to do about it. We do. In fact, we wrote a book about it (this book, the one in your hands). We’ll harness your green intentions and push you beyond turning off the AC every once in a while

This factual and empowering book is chock full of practical tips, real-life stories and challenges (we all know how kids – even tweens – love challenges) to get your tweens on a green path to happiness. Some of my favorite tips included: wearing your jeans until they are dirty before washing them, shortening the length of your shower, not flushing the toilet every time you pee ( a rhyme from when I was a kid: if it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown flush it down), and if your MP3 player dies many manufacturers take them back for recycling. And to keep it real with the tween set, MySpace users that sent in eco-tips got their usernames included in the book. The fact that the insides of the book are printed on 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper using vegetable oil-based inks, already makes this eco-friendly book outshine other save-the-environment books.
