ONTARIO, Calif. – This week, Ontario author D. Boyd celebrates the nationwide release of “Rosie and the Treasure of the Three Nuns,” her exciting new historical adventure.

The book introduces readers to Rosie, a feisty, redheaded thirteen-year-old who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. When her police officer grandma hooks her into going on a treasure hunt in the mountains of California to find the Treasure of the Three Nuns, she isn’t thrilled. She would much rather spend her summer at home, indoors, with the company of her trusty canine companion, Mutt.

Grams’s friend Pete and his sons, Dan and Mike, join her and Rosie on their adventure. She soon finds herself enjoying the new company and looking forward to each new day of treasure hunting. But when Rosie learns that an escaped convict from the Arizona state prison is in their area, she imagines him lurking behind every rock, just waiting to capture a feisty redhead. Readers learn what happens next on this exciting adventure in “Rosie and the Treasure of the Three Nuns.”

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Boyd lives in Ontario, California, and has four children and ten grandchildren. She hasn’t forgotten how it felt to be a child, looking for adventure, asking millions of questions. “Rosie and the Treasure of the Three Nuns” was inspired by a dream she had.
