What to expect: A pampered cat, lots of adventure, a welcome reunion.

Fuddles is a cat. A well-cared for cat. A cat that has all it needs—except adventure. So one day, Fuddles decides it’s time to go out into the big world and see what it’s all about.

And although it’s not what his owner wants, Fuddles goes off anyway. He encounters some trouble, gets into some scrapes and gets a little lost. But everything works out in the end and Fuddles realizes that sometimes the end of an adventure is just as welcome as the beginning of a new adventure.

I really enjoyed this little tale about a content cat that decides to spice up his routine. I’ve often felt that way—things have gotten boring and it would be nice to try something new. Although Fuddles has a rough time, the story brings to light what we all know—but sometimes forget—that it’s always okay to go home again. The author, Frans Vischer, is also an animator at the Disney Studio and his illustrations are beautiful.
