Author Rany Shamloul, in his first children’s picture book, discusses acceptance and resilience through the eyes of two lovely characters, SoSo-lala, a funny robot and Amelia, a cute little girl.
“Soso-lala, the Different” is a great book about a funny and different robot who visits a little lovely girl who’s afraid of things she’s not used to. With beautiful illustrations showing cute and adorable characters and a perfect-paced text, this story discusses two very important concepts, acceptance and resilience.
The story begins with confusion and puzzlement, peaks with a big conflict and ends with a lesson to us all. “Soso-lala, the Different” best suits kids between 3 and 8 years old. Parents, too, will enjoy reading through it.
