Congratulations to our lucky winners of the Testing the Ice giveaway. The winners have been selected by the random sequence generator at random.org, and have each won a copy of Testing the Ice: A True Story About Jackie Robinson. Margaret, our first prize winner, has also won a Kidorable Hat, Glove & Scarf set!

  1. Margaret: Please enter me in the “Testing the Ice: A True Story About Jackie Robinson”. I can’t wait to read this book with my grandniece – she is just the right age. While I am more of the Willie Mays generation I remember Jackie Robinson as a prominent sports hero. I’m happy he will be reintroduced to children.
  2. Angela Bailey: My son really loves reading about historic figures and he likes Jackie Robinson.
  3. Karin A.: Sounds like a great book!
  4. Val Webb: Beautiful book, beautiful message.
  5. Staci A: I tweeted.

All winners will be notified by email and have 72 hours to claim their prize. Unclaimed prizes will be awarded to an alternate winner. Thank you to everyone who participated. Special thanks to the publisher of Testing the Ice: A True Story About Jackie Robinson, Scholastic, for sponsoring the giveaway.

For those of you who were not so lucky, you can still add this book to your collection: Testing the Ice: A True Story About Jackie Robinson

Sounds like a wonderful book. The theme is an appropriate one for this time and age. I’m sure children will learn a great deal.
