Butaan, Phylos and EEtha have traveled over the sky and under the moon to learn about the powerful gifts born to the people of Earth– the secrets of the heart.
Getting children to think about the powerful gifts they possess…that’s what Award-winning children’s author, Grammy® Award winner Bunny Hull and Friends have done by providing a “magic garden” filled with gentle stories and catchy songs. Kye Fleming captures the joyful journey of our inquisitive young explorers with whimsical illustrations in the next three books from the award-winning Little Wisdom series as Butaan, Phylos and EEtha unearth some of life’s most important treasures – courage, creativity and love. Narrated by one of Earth’s wisest sages Saphinne, actress Elayn J. Taylor leads the quest with all the warmth and wisdom of a female Merlin.
The CDs which accompany each book begin by inviting our Young Masters at home to take The Young Masters Pledge. Then in a flurry of ukuleles, sound effects, ethnic drums, percussion and vocals the journey begins with quirky Here We Go. Next it’s onto our story followed by musical treats that support the book’s “secret”. Hey Young Master, What Can I Learn Today and call and responses Thank You For Being Here and it’s Swahili counterpart Asanti Ku kuwa Hapa complete each set.
Each book is a 9 x 9, 28 page, hardcover/audio book with enhanced CD. The CD includes an audio story, nine tracks of original music and bonus multimedia files for use on win/mac computers and mobile devices. Perfect for classroom or home use! Ages 4-8.
In Heart Of A Lion, Phylos faces his fears as our Young Masters discover courage. What is courage? How do you get it? Where does it come from? How do you use it? Additional songs include Roar Like A Lion, The Heart Is Very Smart and I Am Courage.
Our Young Masters see fireflies for the very first time and wonder if everyone on Earth has an inside light. They’re about to discover love. What is love they ask, and how do you love someone? Additional songs include When You Share Love, Love Goes Around In A Circle and traditional favorites, This Little Light Of Mine and I Love Everybody, a spiritual lifted from the civil rights era.
It seems Earth people can turn thoughts into things. How do they do that? In The Invisible Power they learn all about the power of creativity. This is indeed one of the very special powers used by all the people of Earth. Additional songs include I’ve Got A Power, Create Something Magical and My Invisible Power.
These books offer a lot of bang for the buck. The School Library Journal called the first series “Treasures to be shared.” Teachers and parents, the Young Masters Little Wisdom series are books you’ll want to add to your collection.
About Bunny Hull
With a background in music that reads like an industry Who’s Who list, award-winning author, Grammy® Award-winner Bunny Hull began writing for children when she was searching for books and music that embodied the universal principles she wanted to teach to a youth group she volunteered to start in Los Angeles in 1993. She’s never looked back.Bunny Hul
Hull’s beginnings as a top vocalist include work on more than 200 albums with greats including Michael Jackson (Thriller), Quincy Jones, David Foster, Baby Face, Ricky Martin, Celine Dion, Bette Midler and Jimmy Buffet, to name a few. As a songwriter she’s perhaps best known for hit songs like 2008 Dove Award Winning song Ready For A Miracle by LeAnn Rimes or New Attitude, which catapulted Patti LaBelle to the top of the charts in 1986 and won a Grammy Award as part of the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. Hull has earned more than 20 gold and platinum albums with songs and/or as a vocalist appearing on soundtracks and in films such as Evan Almighty, Bruce Almighty, The Prince of Egypt, Losing Isaiah, A River Runs Through It, Leap of Faith and Miss Congeniality. Her work for television includes NBC’s The Today Show, Oprah, the Super Bowl, Sesame Street, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Everybody Hates Chris, Any Day Now, Kings Of The Hill, Charmed and The Simpsons and national ad campaigns include Harley Davidson, Jenny Craig and Verizon.
Hull’s passion for working with children took her in a new direction and those first few songs for a volunteer youth group have turned into a publishing catalog of more than 150 original children’s songs and a wall filled with awards for books and music, which have been embraced both in secular and non-secular worlds. She’s dedicated a huge part of her life to using the arts to make a difference in children’s lives, having created curriculum and having taught residencies and workshops in public schools in Nevada and California. Her love of the arts has lead her to perform on the national mall in Washington D.C. for thousands from over sixty countries for the Child Art Festival and walk the Halls of Congress with representatives of NARAS for Arts Advocacy Day to raise awareness and increase funding for the National Endowment of the Arts.
Hull is an animal lover, hiker, a grill master, world traveler and a collector of arts of Africa, Native and Latin America. She currently resides in Los Angeles where she continues to be a student of life and a lover of learning.
