Everybody Poops!

 Written by Justine Avery

Illustrated by Olga Zhuravlova

Publisher’s Synopsis: Everybody poops—it’s true! It’s time to blow the door right off the bathroom, and shine a light on what happens on the loo.

For the little ones just discovering the contents of their diapers and nappies, the bigger ones needing reassurance that their most mysterious bodily function is as natural as can be, and the biggest ones who still hold a fondness for toilet humor, Everybody Poops! is piled high with bold and audacious illustrations and the truth about who’s doing the pooing: every body is doing it!

Sure to insight giggling fits and all-ages laughter, Everybody Poops! exposes the least talked about fact we all have in common the world over and among all walks of life, benefiting the youngest of us by opening the discussion, promoting comfort with their bodies, and helping them feel included. Poo pride!

“The rhyming text is confident, catchy and to the point. It’s really quite fun to say the word poop or poops or poop-poop more than thirty times in one sitting—and certainly not a strain.” — The Children’s Book Review

  • I would love to win to share with my children and to dispel a little bit of the anxiety around this topic.

    November 15, 2019
  • I’ve seen & heard the stress little ones feel while “pooping”. Two of the grandkids during potty training actually cried and got very upset over the fact the toilet was flushed. The youngest told his mom that was his and cried for awhile while she tried to explain. 🙂

    November 15, 2019
  • I would LOVE to win these Kindle’s for my daughters who love to read. In fact, my 6 year old daughter is a self proclaimed author and writes and reads her books to the class. My potty training tip is to praise a child when they make progress and not punish them when they can’t do something. There are a lot of funny potty training songs on YouTube that my daughters loved that got them excited about going to the potty. They would often sing the songs on the potty.

  • From our 8 year old: I had 3 cans of alphabet soup for lunch. Tomorrow, I will have the biggest vowel movement ever. He was giggling so hard, he could barely tell the joke! Thanks for the awesome giveaway opportunity.

    November 15, 2019
  • Consistency & patience are the key to success. If we slide backwards, so do they. Give them some reward to work towards.

    November 15, 2019
  • Stay consistent, every 2hours at the start. Get them nice undies and show them how nasty their new undies can get. I don’t like pull ups they are to much like diapers for a big boy/girl.

    November 15, 2019
  • One of my granddaughters is potty training now. I think she would like this book.

    November 15, 2019
  • I am excited! to win because in about 3 more month my daughter will be potty training her daughter, and I think this would be wonderful for them. I can only tell parents as I have told my daughters , is to be patience and expect a few fails before the reward..

  • This is an awesome contest with amazing prizes, thanks for the chance!
I have three potty training tips:
I helped my son learn how to aim by using cheerios for target practice.
Always keep books nearby so the little one has something to occupy their attention while they do their business.
It’s better to use training pants, sometimes little ones can’t feel that they have gone if they are wearing pull-ups.
    And remember poop happens 🙂
