About the Prize Pack
TCBR Original “Growing Readers Print
Stephanie Graegin was commissioned to create a commemorative illustration that honors 11 years of The Children’s Book Review’s mission of growing readers. Looking at this beautiful illustration shows the connective power books can have in bringing young readers together. One good book can create important moments of harmony and solidarity.
Born during a blizzard on Groundhog’s Day in Chicago, Illinois, Stephanie spent her childhood drawing and collecting fauna in Fort Wayne, Indiana and Houston, Texas. She received her BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Arts and her MFA in printmaking from the Pratt Institute. Stephanie now lives in Brooklyn and is still drawing. We’ve featured her books many times on TCBR and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the special ‘Growing Readers’ illustration that she has created for us.
