Hannah is a good girl, but her head is in the clouds. Too busy to pay attention, her father is constantly reminding her of what she needs to do. Molly, her dog, has the same problem. Together, they are two of a kind. One day, they find themselves in trouble. Told to stay in the yard, they decide to go for a walk to the river and lose their way back home. Hannah and Molly huddle together as the sun goes down. They hear scary noises in the trees. “I want my daddy,” Hannah cried.
Dad finally finds them, and they learn a valuable lesson.
The book delivers an important message for small children by sharing the fact that parents’ tell us what to do to keep us safe. It is up for an award in the New York Book Festival.
