Sadie, a King Penguin, lives in the Falkland Islands, a British territory located in the South Atlantic Ocean.Sadie has always wanted to be a rock star. The trouble is that the Falkland Islands are far from most places … so it’s unlikely that Sadie will be scouted by a talent agent. Sadie decides to form her own rock band instead. Known as The Penguins, her King Penguin family members play the guitar and drums, while she shares the occasional vocals with cousin Ezra. When Brian Fishstein, the owner of the island’s only music store, says he will make The Penguins bigger than Elvis, the band sings “Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.” And Penguinmania ensues. Will The Penguins be able to keep up with their newly found fame?
Author Ivor Davis has filled his jaunty tale with well-placed Beatles puns, and ends the book on a high note by adding facts about penguins and the Falklands, a puzzle that teaches the names of the actual members of the world famous band, The Beatles, as well as some fun coloring pages featuring The Penguins band members. Dave McTaggart, the illustrator of over 30 children’s books, adds plenty of pop to the pages with bright colors and characters with pizazz.

About the Author
London-born Ivor Davis first came to America in the early sixties and was ap- pointed West Coast correspondent for the 4-million-a-day circu- lation London Daily Express in l963.
His first big assign- ment came the follow- ing year: to hang out, travel with and get to
know the four members of a new pop group from Liverpool who was tearing up the world with their music: the Beatles. His memoir of these travels was published in 2014 – The Beatles and Me on Tour.
Over a more than four-decade as a writer for theExpress and the Times of London, Ivor covered significant events in North America. He penned a weekly entertainment column for the New York Times Syndicate for over 15 years, interviewing some of the biggest names in show business, from Cary Grant to Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton to Tom Cruise and Muhammad Ali.
In l969 he co-wrote Five to Die, the first book ever published about the Sharon Tate murders. As a foreign correspondent, he traveled throughout the western hemisphere covering riots, floods, earth- quakes, and politics. As Editor at Large for Los Angeles Magazine, he and his late wife Sally Ogle Davis wrote over 100 major magazine and cover stories. He reported on four World Soccer Cups for CBS radio.
