A Sweet Market Crash: Book Cover

    A Sweet Market Crash

    Written by Jasmine Paul

    Illustrated by Gin Tran

    Ages: 4+ | 36 Pages

    Publisher:  CreateFinStew, LLC (2025) | ISBN-13: 9781736733554

What to Expect: Friendship, problem-solving, preparation, unexpected challenges, and entrepreneurship.

Cleverly weaving together themes of friendship, financial savvy, and embracing the unexpected, A Sweet Market Crash is an energetically delightful picture book.

Bull and Bear are two pals with VERY different styles: Bear is the meticulous planner, while Bull is all about spontaneity. Together, they embark on an eventful pomegranate-selling adventure at the bustling market. When a string of events threatens to derail their plans, these two friends will need to tap into their problem-solving skills to succeed as entrepreneurs.

Author Jasmine Paul, with her background in financial education, thoughtfully integrates valuable concepts without ever coming across as preachy. Through her engaging story, she demonstrates how preparation can save the day—and, more importantly, how a challenge can unexpectedly blossom into a brilliant new opportunity.

Gin Tran’s illustrations truly make Bull and Bear leap off the page—the vibrant, expressive artwork captures every emotion, adding a satisfying layer of humor and joy to the narrative.

Young readers, especially those with a curious streak who love to see how things work out, will find A Sweet Market Crash to be an encouraging and thoroughly enjoyable read-aloud.
