What to Expect: Friendship, pets, travel, curiosity, and home.

Milo and His Magic Skateboard isn’t just a fun travel narrative—it’s also a story about the value of friendship and the qualities that make home and travel so satisfying.

Milo is a pup who lives in Milano with his best friend in the world – but even though she takes good care of him, sometimes he still gets bored. One day, when she’s too busy working to play with him, Milo decides to travel the world with his magic skateboard, searching for fun and adventure in all his favorite travel locations. He visits Paris and London, Switzerland, Berlin, and even Rome – but everywhere he goes, something is missing, and he quickly moves on. Only as night starts to fall does Milo realize the problem – without his best friend around, travel is no fun at all! Milo returns home quickly on his magic skateboard to the friend who has missed him and is waiting for his return.

Milo, based on the author’s real-life rescue pup, is an irresistibly cute character, and readers will learn a lot about the cities of Europe as they follow along with his travels. The colorful, detailed artwork supports this instructive element of the story, showing readers the key landmarks and sights in each location Milo visits. Throughout the book, rhyming text and simple sentences present facts in an accessible format, perfect for beginner readers.

Milo and His Magic Skateboard is a delightful story, perfect for dog lovers and travelers alike.
