    It’s crucial for her safety, and for the safety of those she loves, that Emaleen not only trains her powers for her own defense but that she learns to harness them, controlling them even as she nurtures them. Along the way, she faces unexpected challenges and discovers she’s not alone: there are many people and animals in her life who support and love her and are willing to protect her at any cost.

    B.S. Gibbs is an attorney and a mother of two young children, both of whom assisted in the creation of the story line. She is a fan of Jane Austen (and other authors of classic English literature), stories about King Arthur, all things medieval, and people who love what they do so much that they are inspiring.

      Unfortunately when I think of a superpower I can immediately also think of the disadvantages that would accompany it. I suppose my superpower that I currently possess is practicality. Bummer.

      I have the power of sensing and feeling what will and may happen. Not always. I would love to have the power to heal and be well.

      I have a unique ability, I have empathy for others. Its something a lot of people do not have. I believe it is a unique ability. I would love to have the power to read peoples feelings, so I could be sure of what they feel about me and about all things.

      I have something considered, by some, to be a sixth sense: the power to perceive the suffering of others, without any communication from them or anyone else.

      I wish I had the power to resist puppy eyes or my nephew’s big eyes or my niece’s smile or…
      Nah. I’m kidding. I’m okay being the pushover (for the little things). Its worth it for a happy niece/nephew/dog

      I wish I could read people’s minds, but that may not always be a great thing. So, I’m going to choose healing the sick and hurt!
