    The friendship begins with Zozo offering help to a flamingo who is trapped under fallen rocks after crash-landing into a rock wall. Zozo lifts heavy rocks while getting to know the friendly birds. While resting for a moment, she learns about the history of the ancient sea that dried to become the gigantic salt flat.

    A viscacha arrives to make Zozo’s hard work easier, and their help is rewarded with a flight over the salt flat to see the magical mirror effect of a flooded section.

    Along the way, whimsically illustrated locals dot the landscape. They include playful vicuñas, hide-and-go-seek playing Andean foxes, viscachas doing yoga, giant hummingbirds, goofy, golfing lizards, and many others. The wildlife adds depth and richness (and laughs!) to the wonderous wilderness showcased in this premium full-color 32-page book.

    A.J. Atlas is the creator of the Travels with Zozo… illustrated children’s book series. Atlas’ extensive travel experiences in nearly fifty countries and throughout all fifty U.S. states provide firsthand insight into the settings for the books. Then a zest for adventure travel took Atlas to wildly interesting places in adulthood, and the notebook filled with heart-warming stories blossomed further. Currently, Atlas continues to travel and write new stories while advising on the illustrations and production of the completed books in the series.

    Anne Zimanski is the illustrator of the Travels with Zozo… children’s book series. Drawing the ever-changing, real-life locations, animals, and action in each book is an opportunity Zimanski wholeheartedly welcomes because it allows her expert skills as a freehand digital artist to broaden. Zimanski enjoys working with fun-loving writer A.J. Atlas.       The bunny explores Bolivia and showcases other animals in this habitat. My grandkids would enjoy the adventures of Zozo.

      This would be great for any of the 11 grandchildren I have. I also have kids over that I tutor as I am a former teacher and they love going through my books and pick one to read before they leave my house.
