Most girls like pink, everyone loves a cupcake – Pinkalicious has something for everyone!

Pinkalicious is a New York Times best-selling book about dessert, desire and discipline.”

Who can stop at just one pink cupcake? When Pinkalicious devours too many pink cupcakes, and her parents warn her she has had enough, she develops a very rare case of ‘pinkititis’. For a girl who likes pink this is not too much of a problem, until she becomes a ‘deeper shade of pink’, RED! The remedy is a diet of all greens – a parent’s dream. This book is full of punchy lines, my favorite being the father’s response to Pinakalicious pleading for ‘just one more cupcake’, “You get what you get, and you don’t get upset.” A really fun book to encourage healthy eating, or at least everything in moderation! You will definitely be wanting to bake some cupcakes after reading this delectable book. A small warning, Pinkalicious does tend to come off a little obnoxious, however she really grows on you, and in the current age where the amount of children who read for pleasure is declining, I am all for promoting books that children will want to read, or have read to them, over-and-over.

Bonus: There is a Pinkalicious Musical, and a second book titled ‘Purplicious‘.
