    About the Author-Illustrator

When Lorena M. Proia graduated with a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology in Graphic Design and Painting, she never imagined she’d become an Information Architect in high-tech. She thought her creativity was lost until she was rescued by an Australian Shepherd named Phebe. Inspired by Phebe’s antics, her drawings became Phebe-n-Me, a t-shirt company, which grew up to become a children’s book! How to Make a Sandwich is her first picture book.

I would add tomato but the children wouldn’t. This would be a fun book to read with them since the 6 year old now likes to make her and her 3 yr old sister sandwiches. I’m pretty sure using the child safe knife has a lot to do with it. The older one likes to say “magically magically “ when trying to change the outcome of things. It actually works sometimes. Lol

Rae tries to add the tomato, but her mom informs her they used the last one for their salad the night before. As a child I loved the tomato! You never know what kids will like! 🙂

I’d add a heart-shaped fried egg. It’d be fun and delicious.

It would be! Now my question is, how do you make a heart shaped fried egg?

Fairy dust? I WANT FAIRY DUST! Where do you get it? 🙂

I think you could put bacon on cardboard and it would make it taste just fine!

We discussed it and think a layer of potato chips would be fun. It would make the sandwich crunchy and taste great.
