All the Other Nuggies, by Jeff Minich | Book Spotlight
The Children’s Book Review | September 10, 2015
All the Other Nuggies
Coco is a very lonely Nuggie. Everyday she hides away and watches while all the other Nuggies play. One day she’s discovered by a friendly Nuggie named Chomper who goes out of his way to help her make some new friends. As she learns to fit in, Coco discovers that being different isn’t a bad thing, it’s what makes her unique and fun to be with!
“Self-perception can certainly hold anybody back from new things, so All the Other Nuggies sends a great message to young readers that opening one’s self up to new situations can lead to fun opportunities and the chance to make new friends.”—The Children’s Book Review

I laugh a lot even when I know it’s bad. I have to at least smile to find the little bit of good in all the bad. This makes me someone who tends to be optimistic when it come to life’s challenges. My son would love to share this and read it with his siblings! Good Luck Every One!!

What makes me unique comes from being a teen parent(I was 18 and my husband was 21 when our first was born). Although I am now 32 and my husband is 35, and we have 3 children, we remember what it’s like to be a kid and I am a VERY hands on parent. There isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not on the floor playing Legos with my kids, swimming with them in the pool, throwing the baseball out in the yard…. While other parents surrounding us parent more on the sidelines, I have a special bond with my children that comes from being young, and I wouldn’t change it for the world!! I know that a lot of people in our positions would have made different choices, but we stood strong and faced our situation and bettered ourselves because of it! Our oldest is in 7th grade, at a 9th grade reading level and getting straight A’s plus is a starter on his baseball team, our 5 year old is already reading and is very outgoing.. involved in dance and fishing and gardening at the school garden, our 2 year old is ahead of all of her milestones and happy and healthy! My husband has climbed the ladder and went from being a ground hand to now being Lead Lineman and Group Leader, and I am able to be a SAHM.. so what makes me unique is that I WAS a statistic, but with my husband by my side, I overcame that, and I hope I can be a role model for teen moms everywhere <3

I’d like to think I’m unique because when kids are bored or even adults are bored I can find a way to make things fun again and get both kids and adults involved until everybody’s having fun again. Kids normally want to be around me because of that. Thank you for the chance to win this !!
