    Superhero Faith

    Story by Faith Abraham

    Illustrated by Shannon O’Toole

    Ages 3-8 | 32 Pages

What to Expect: Multigenerational, adventure, compassion, imagination

Ever wonder what young kids dream about? In Superhero Faith, child author Faith Abraham shows readers just how imaginative the young mind can be. We are introduced to Faith, who enjoys doing things that most children do, and her trusty dog, Sparkle. However, Faith has a secret: she’s a superhero! You’ll never guess how she gets her powers.

Superhero Faith goes on all sorts of adventures: she rescues her grandmother from being too hot, keeps her from losing her cane, and worst of all, saves her from eating ghastly Brussels sprouts. In this highly imaginative tale, we are gifted with a character that readers will relate to because of her desire to have fun and help those around her. Faith demonstrates down-to-earth examples of how even the youngest readers can practice kindness and empathy, as well as offering a healthy nudge to eat vegetables (except those Brussels Sprouts, of course).

Meanwhile, illustrator Shannon O’Toole does a beautiful job creating images that take the reader through the story and makes the characters stand out by showing the whimsy of Faith’s imagination.

Superhero Faith is a marvelous book that will entertain both adults and children alike with its precious examples of superhero habits.
