    The Children’s Book Review | October 19, 2019

A little secret: Plant the seed from a young age that reading is fun, and your kids will likely grow up to be clever humans who read for pleasure. But how do you get a toddler to gravitate towards books when they are surrounded by flashing toys that make exciting sounds? That’s where books like the Animal Adventures from Clever Publishing come in to play.

Adorable, wide-eyed cartoon-style animals invite readers in with their cheery little faces. Each book is die-cut to the shape of it’s featured animal, making them all the more appealing. The shaped edges are fun to hold and add to the character of the books. The sturdy solid pages mean that they stand up all on their own. Just propping these books up on a bedside table, a bookshelf, or anywhere in a play area will be enough to attract attention.

    But the Books

The simple little adventure stories that include brief animal facts make for a quick and enjoyable time of connection between toddlers and caregivers. Flipping through the pages and looking at all of the fun animal friends, pointing to different animals, labeling them, and making sounds will be what provides hours of fun for toddlers. We can see these being stroller and quiet-time favorites for many!

Currently, there are four books in this series. Two of them especially make for fun wintery holiday gifts. Here’s a quick rundown on what you can expect …
