Each year, the National Education Association sponsors Read Across America, a wonderful program that encourages children to read. It’s always on March 2, or as near as possible, which is also the birthday of Dr. Seuss.” Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, community centers, and more participate by bringing together kids and books, and you can too!”

It’s not too late to participate. It’s as easy as picking up a book and reading it with your child right now. For more information you can check out this link on the National Education Association website: http://www.nea.org/readacross

At our house we’ll be reading our Dr. Suess favorites.

My favorite: I Am Not Going to Get up Today!

My daughter’s favorite: Put me in the zoo

My husband’s favorite: Go, Dog. Go!

    Happy Reading!
