    A booklist about celebrating dreams.
    The Children’s Book Review

    Kids’ Books About Celebrating Dreams!

There is nothing more important than to teach young children the importance of celebrating who they are, where they come from, and dreaming big.  If a child wants to be a superhero when they grow up, teach them how to help others.  If a child wants to be a clown, teach them jokes and how to make others laugh.  There is no such thing as a silly dream.  Children learn through both imaginative and real play and it’s how they are guided that really shapes how they celebrate life from childhood through adulthood.

These are two great books that teach children to truly be themselves and not be afraid to think outside the box in a world filled with unfair judgment.  Let’s encourage our children to think positively!

Dare to Dream Big: Book Cover

    Dare to Dream Big

    Written by Lorna Gutierrez

    Illustrated by Polly Noakes

    Ages 4-8 | 40 Pages

    Publisher: Sourcebooks Jabberwocky | ISBN-13: 9781492694854

This uplifting book should be a staple on the shelves of all youngsters.  The imaginative pictures and expressive text take readers on a journey of ways children can dare to dream and become the difference.  Teaching our children that it is okay to speak up, be their own best friend, and stay true to yourself are critical lessons in the early years.  Gutierrez does this in an amazingly direct way that lets children lose themselves in their imagination as they dream of ways to be a star!

Go Get Em Tiger: Book Cover

    Go Get ‘Em Tiger!

    Written by Sabrina Moyle

    Illustrated by Eunice Moyle

    Ages 3-8 | 32 Pages

    Publisher: Abrams Appleseed Publishing | ISBN-13: 9781419739644

This imaginative book catches a reader’s attention as soon as you open it to its neon pink pages.  Using “beastly” puns and humor to teach children the importance of celebrating life, this book will boost anyone’s self-esteem.  The whimsical pictures of animals teach children to be “fierce” and “land on your paws” when they fall.  Each page is as colorful as the next, with short but meaningful text that will have you reading this book over and over again to remind readers about the strength they all carry inside.
