Through the eyes of the sensitive, relatable protagonist, readers get a first-hand account of just how easy it is for such children to be let down by parents, school systems, authority figures, and peers. At the same time, the novel is a gripping adventure filled with imaginative creatures and fantastic worlds that will keep any reader on the edge of their seat.

About the Author
Jessica Crichton is a mother of five, holds an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults, and has taught creative writing, composition, and filmmaking to grades 5 through college. She has been making up stories pretty much her whole life, though she likes to say that her “official” career began at the age of 14 when she was published for the first time in her local newspaper.
Jessica lives in Washington state with her fiancé Larry and spends most of her free time thinking about the looniest things on and off the planet. Some of them she even writes down! Oh, and her favorite dinosaur is the triceratops and her favorite color is burnt orange, in case you were wondering.
