Reading with Grandpa and Enzo: Learn the Most Important Words First

Grandpa and Enzo Front Cover LatestCarson City, NV ( April 25, 2016)— Sierra Sage publisher and author, Len Semas, has released a new children’s book, Reading with Grandpa and Enzo. The book is a reading primer, designed to be read interactively between adult and child. Parents, grandparents, older siblings and others share the reading experience as words are introduced that communicate basic values.

Semas publishes an online magazine, the Sierra Sage, and has previously written and/or published two other books. The inspiration for this book came from his grandson, Enzo, who Semas observed learning to read in a Facebook video. Semas got the idea of writing a book that he and Enzo could share, even at a distance. Enzo is in California, while Semas resides in Carson City, Nevada. By having a book for each, they could read together in person, or long-distance using Skype®, FaceTime®or other video camera program.

Semas, also a college instructor for written and oral communications, has long observed the importance of both reading and parental participation in a child’s education as critical elements of success. This book addresses both factors, along with a focus on traditional values such as: kindness, sharing, work, love, God and others.

The book is high quality, glossy with aqueous coating, 38-pages, coil binding to lay flat, and beautifully illustrated with clever, full color “kid-toons” demonstrating the meaning of subject words. A sample (12 pages) of the book can be viewed, and the book can be ordered, at: www.sierrasage.com.
