We use reusable food, waste and grocery bags, recycle, wood or bamboo brushes of all types, switched our containers to glass, all natural cleaning/beauty and all types of natural products. The list goes on. We also do a spring and fall litter clean up in our surrounding area.

We include my grandchildren and are forever teaching them about the importance of keeping our planet clean. A wonderful book for them all.

We have always recycled. I have been more stringent about pulling the labels off my cans before putting them in the bin, to make it easier on the recycling folks as I’ve been told it is helpful, essentially separating the paper from the metal in advance.

New York City is pretty behind on recycling, but we do our best. Only glass containers for leftovers, recycled bottles for water, and always bringing reusable bags for shopping.
