    Bedtime for Superheroes

    Written by Katherine Locke

    Illustrated by Rayanne Vieira

    Ages 4-8 | 32 Pages

Publisher: Running Press Kids | ISBN: 978-0-7624-6973-4

What to expect: Superheroes, Adventure, Bedtime, Diversity

Superheroes have a lot to do! They fight bad guys – Bam! Pow! They save animals – Zoinks! But then it’s time for all little superheroes to do things at home. Eat healthy meals, stretch their bodies and wash up. But the most important thing of all for a superhero? To get a peaceful, wonderful rest! It can be hard, after a long day fighting crime and having adventures, to settle down for bed. But with the help of these fun heroes, children can do just that. So tell the kids to snuggle up with their favorite super-snuggly sidekick and tuck themselves in tight, because even superheroes need their rest!

With bright, bold images featuring a diverse cast of characters, this is a super fun bedtime romp. Kiddos who love shows like PJ Masks or Marvel Comics will delight in kids who look like them, dressed in fun and unique superhero costumes. Everything from tutus to squirrel ears make an appearance, as well as your usual capes and masks. Illustrator Rayanne Vieira’s pictures of boys and girls wearing whatever they fancy most, creates a fun and inclusive storyline that will make any kid feel at home and relaxed. And right before bed, that’s so important! Author Katherine Locke’s playful story with fun, old-fashioned wording (Zap! Kapow!) gives the book a retro feel that even parents will love.

Perfect for toddlers and big kids who are always ready to fight crime and go on an adventure (but may have a hard time settling down to sleep), BEDTIME FOR SUPERHEROES is a wonderful addition to the adventure of bedtime!
