Chu's Day Board Book By Neil GaimanChu’s Day

By Neil Gaiman; Illustrated by Adam Rex

    Age Range: 0-6 years

    Board Book: 30 pages

    Publisher: Harper Collins Children’s (2013)

    ISBN: 978-0-06-234746-6

What to expect: Pandas, Lessons on How Your Actions Impact the World

Chu’s Day follows the day in the life of Chu the panda who happens to have a giant sneeze. His sneeze is so powerful it makes bad things happen. This book chronicles Chu’s daily activities and makes the reader wonder will Chu sneeze? Little ones will be interested to turn the page to see if Chu sneezes and what his sneeze will do. This board book is perfect to read-aloud to little ones.

The story is simple and straight-forward, but the illustrations are very detailed allowing the opportunity to ask little ones questions about what is happening due to Chu’s sneeze. Also, the detailed illustrations create a “look and find” type book where you can ask your little one to find the “fox” on the page. These questions help cognitive thinking and spawn creativity. And it is hilarious to hear what your little one will come up with as answers!

This is a great book for children ages 2 to 6 and will help kids learn that even a small panda can impact with world!
