    The Author

    A. Bello is a young author from Hackney, North London. She has grown up around gang related activity but her talents in writing and dance led her away from that path. She wrote her first novel at aged 8, where she fought monsters and dragons daily. At age 12, she invented Emily Knight as she felt there weren’t any strong, diverse, ethnic characters in Children’s books. A. Bello appeared on BBC 1XTRA Radio’s show ‘East London Right Track’ representing the young talent in Hackney as part of the Olympics celebration. A. Bello is a professional street dancer. She has performed for 10 years in prestigious venues such as The Royal Opera House, The Barbican, Sadler’s Wells, Hammersmith Apollo, Stratford Theatre Royal. She has appeared on Got to Dance, The Apprentice and filmed for Street Dance The Movie 3. She is currently a freelance dance teacher.
