ENOUGH TO SHARE
Written by Mary Helen Berg
Illustrated by Sue Todd
Ages: 4-6 | 40 Pages
Publisher: Tielmour Press (2026) | ISBN: 1998426181
What to Expect: Sharing, adaptability, climate change, nature, animals, sustainability, Great Bear Rainforest.
This powerful picture book follows two quiet, symbolic main characters whose lives are deeply intertwined with the rhythms of the Great Bear Rainforest.
Sea Wolf and Spirit Bear used to share everything in the Great Bear Rainforest. They shared the expansive territory of the woods, and the fish and fish eggs that were their favorite food. They shared the lovely, clean water of the river and sea, and the trees that provided cover for hunting and hiding.
Now, however, things are changing. Humans have cut down the trees, reducing the territory that Sea Wolf and Spirit Bear must share. Humans have taken the fish, reducing the food that Sea Wolf and Spirit Bear must share. Humans have poisoned the water and air, leaving less of everything for Sea Wolf and Spirit Bear to share in the Great Bear Rainforest. Will there be enough for Sea Wolf and Spirit Bear to share? Yes—but only if humans can learn to share too!
Through the character’s shared dependence on land, water, and food, the book delivers a clear and urgent message about environmental stewardship and the consequences of human degradation of the environment. The setting feels both expansive and fragile, brought to life as a place of abundance that is steadily diminishing. Mixing simple storytelling with factual information and direct calls to action, the story presents complex issues such as deforestation, overfishing, and pollution in a way that is accessible and thought-provoking for young readers, encouraging them to see themselves as part of a shared ecosystem—this is underscored by the bold, woodcut-inspired illustration style, which uses thick lines and high contrast-colors to deliver folkloric imagery evocative of traditional storytelling.
Enough to Share is perfect for thoughtful readers, budding environmentalists, and classrooms exploring themes of conservation, responsibility, and our collective role in protecting the natural world.

Enough to Share and the message children carry beyond the story
Hi Mary Helen,
Enough to Share carries a message that stays with the reader beyond the final page, especially in how Spirit Bear and Sea Wolf reflect the fragile balance of the Great Bear Rainforest and the idea that sharing is no longer optional but necessary. The way the book translates climate change, resource scarcity, and environmental responsibility into something accessible for young readers gives it real classroom and long-term relevance.
What is holding the book back right now is not the message but how early-stage visibility is forming around it. With a newly released title and only a small number of reader interactions so far, the book is not yet positioned where its educational value can compound into consistent discovery across Amazon and Goodreads. This often limits how frequently it appears in front of educators, parents, and institutions that are already searching for books exactly like this.
A focused adjustment in how the book is structured across both platforms can immediately strengthen that. Aligning how it connects to search intent around environmental learning, improving how it surfaces within classroom and sustainability categories, and building early reader engagement signals can significantly increase traction. I work as a Book Visibility Architect, helping authors turn purpose-driven books into consistently discoverable assets across Amazon and Goodreads, leading to stronger reach, sustained engagement, and long-term positioning within their niche.
This is the stage where that shift matters most for Enough to Share. Reply with “interested” and I will outline exactly how this can be implemented for your book.
