    About the Author

Madelyn Simon, a native New Yorker, grew up with a love of nature – especially plants and animals. Her company designed, installed, and maintained live plants both indoors and out since 1979. The company grew (forgive the pun) and serviced 700 corporate clients weekly until she retired in 2006. Watercolor painting and oil painting became her passion as well as storytelling. She remembers telling her young daughter three stories each night before bed and, now, she wants to share the stories with the world.
