    Spot The Impostor

    Written by Highlights Editors

    Ages: 7+ | 40 Pages

    Publisher: Highlights Press (2026) | ISBN: 978-1639624393

What to Expect: Puzzles, seek-and-find, humor, concentration, interactive.

Can you spot the odd ones out amidst a sea of same-y characters?

In this fun search-and-find activity book, peppers are hiding in the crowd of tacos, flowers are lurking amongst the mushrooms, socks are hidden amongst the cacti, and even twelve cheeky frogs are concealed in a crowd of ducks! Spot the Imposter is obsessively fun, pumping the muscles of your concentration and focus as you hunt for the impostors amongst the quirky characters that fill each page. With challenges that range from quick and easy to devilishly difficult, this is one activity book that will keep you entertained for hours.

The puzzles comprise 34 full-page illustrations, each of which features a tightly packed crowd of colorful cartoon characters that fill every inch of the space. Nestled amongst them are smaller hidden characters—including one easier-to-spot larger imposter, and several different smaller and more hidden impostors who pose a real challenge. To make things even more challenging, all the other tiny details are dotted here and there in the crowd, drawing the eye without revealing the impostors’ locations. The bright colors and bold lines of the artwork keep the puzzles fun without making them too tiring for the eyes, while an answer key at the back of the book means no one will leave the activity feeling frustrated.

Highlights has been producing interactive literature for kids for decades, and for readers who love puzzles and are fans of the Where’s Waldo franchise, this activity book is sure to become a new favorite.
