    Ages 6-8 | 38 Pages

Publisher: Tiki Toons Publishing LLC | ISBN-13: 9798218341381

What to Expect:  friendship, cooperation, adventure, and self-confidence.

Tiki Time: It’s My Turn is a classic introduction to a superhero universe.

Somewhere across the deep blue ocean, on a tiny island in a tiny jungle, there is a magical village named TikiTown.  Here lives a young boy named Tiki, who is honest, fun, and adventurous but struggles with his behavior.   While walking through the jungle, he meets a magical spirit who provides him with much-needed guidance and grants him magical powers.  Tiki is to use these powers and assemble a team of side-kicks to help fight the evil King Lauia, who wants to steal the magical Toku mask from TikiTown, thus freezing the village forever!

Younger readers will enjoy and identify with Tiki and his friends as they learn the value of cooperation while facing adversity with bravery and resilience.  Transitional readers will find the vocabulary accessible while delighting in the colorful and action-filled illustrations. Readers will also be thrilled by the novel layout and orientation of the story, which requires holding and flipping the pages sideways!

Fans of superheroes will find many common themes throughout Tiki Time. Most notable is Tiki’s desire to protect the village and his assembling a team of friends to cooperate and defeat the villain. Readers of all ages will be able to relate to these themes, which create a strong buildup to the final battle—which will come in a future installment, as this book ends on a thrilling cliffhanger!

Tiki Time: It’s My Turn is a delightful debut into a new multiverse story for readers of any age.
